Mike Morrison

Biography

Mike Morrison is a volunteer assistant coach at the Christian Academy of Knoxville, specializing in sprinters, hurdlers, and jumpers. He has an extensive coaching background at the high school, collegiate, and private sector levels, including roles at Christian Academy of Knoxville, Carson Newman University, GymTek Academy, and Emerald Youth Foundation. He holds certifications from USATF (Level I & II in Sprints and Hurdles), NSCA (CSCS), and USAW (Level 1).

A former elite athlete, Morrison was the 2011 NCAA decathlon champion and 2010 runner-up while competing for UC Berkeley, with a personal best of 8118 points. In high school, he won three national pole vault championships and represented Team USA in multiple international competitions.

Currently based in Knoxville, Tennessee, Morrison works in the medical device industry, balancing his career with his passion for coaching. He and his wife Chelcie have four young children: Miller Kate (7), Eloise (5), Ford (3), and Maisie (1).
