Bob Nihells coached at Lake Park High School in Roselle Illinois for 35 years, retiring in 2018.  In that time his throwers have rewritten every school record and own both the all‐time boys discus and boys shot put state records.  Coach Nihells had fifteen top three finishes in the throws at the IHSA state meet over his last 10 years at Lake Park.   Bob has been the head coach or an assistant on staffs that have won a combined 5 state championships as well as 2 runner up finishes.  Before coaching the throws he was the sprints coach where his athletes have owned 3 Illinois state meet records.
